SUDHANOTI (Kashmir Digital): The Indian authorities’ claim of arresting an intruder from Azad Kashmir has been exposed as the man, claimed to be detained, is currently safe in his hometown in Sudhanoti district.
As per details, Indian media on Tuesday reported that a 26-year-old Pakistani intruder was arrested along the Line of Control (LoC) in Indian occupied Kashmir’s Poonch district.
The officials claimed that Waqas, a resident of Tarkhal village in Azad Kashmir, was taken into custody by security forces from Chakan-Da-Bagh village shortly after he crossed the LoC and entered Indian territory.
The media, citing security officials, further reported that Waqas inadvertently crossed the LoC and that no incriminating material was recovered from the intruder at the time of his arrest.
However, the report turned out to be a lie and just a mere propaganda against Pakistan following the recent Pahalgam attack, which has heightened the tensions between both countries.
In a post on his Facebook account, Waqas said that he has not been detained by the Indian security forces. ” I have an electric store in Murshidabad in Tara Khel and I am safe and present in my country,” he wrote on Facebook.
