KAJLANI / MIRPUR (Kashmir English): President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that his only mission, following the eradication of regionalism and tribalism in state’s politics, was to nurture unified and coordinated efforts to mobilize world community for an early settlement of Kashmir dispute.
While addressing an Iftar dinner hosted in his honor by Raja Owais in the Charhoi Kajalani constituency, the President said that it was high time that leadership across the political spectrum join their forces and work together to promote Kashmir cause and expose the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir both at national and international level.
Referring to the worst HR violations in the Indian occupied territory, Barrister Chaudhry said that the Indian forces have broken all records of barbarism and brutality.
He termed Indian prime minister Narendra Modi as a strong proponent of Hindutva ideology and added that the BJP government led by PM Modi was hell bent on turning India into a Hindu Rashtra, where there is no place for religious minorities.
Kashmir issue
He was of the view that the Kashmir issue has become more prominent due to BJP’s sledgehammer policies.
The President said that during his recent trip to the UK and US, he effectively highlighted the Kashmir cause and emphasized on early resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute.
Similarly, the President said that he had sought Muslim countries’ urgent attention towards the worsening situation in Indian occupied territory.
Referring to the Indian spy agency’s confirmed role in the murder of Sikh activist in Canada, the President said that the incident has left India exposed at world level.
The Iftar dinner was attended by Raja Sabeel, President District Bar Association Kotli, Chaudhry Razaq Advocate former senior minister, Raja Aftab, Raja Masood Advocate and several others.
The President expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Kajalani for his warm welcome on his arrival.
