SANGHAR (Kashmir English): In a significant development along the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian army hoists white flag at multiple forward posts following sustained retaliation by the Pakistan Army, security sources revealed on Wednesday.
According to reports, the latest incident took place at the Sanghar post, opposite the Chirikot sector, where Indian soldiers waved a white flag, a sign of surrender under international wartime norms.
This follows similar actions earlier at the Leepa, Chora Complex, and Chakothi sectors, where Indian forces also signalled surrender in response to intense Pakistani countermeasures.
Security sources said the Pakistan Army continues to inflict heavy losses on enemy positions across the LoC. In the ongoing conflict, Indian forces have come under pressure, reportedly shaken by the scale and precision of Pakistan’s retaliatory fire.
The white flag is a recognised symbol of accepting defeat during armed conflict, security officials stated, highlighting the seriousness of the situation. These repeated instances, according to sources, show the level of disruption faced by the Indian side.
The LoC conflict between Pakistan and India has escalated in recent days, triggered by what Pakistan calls cowardly and unprovoked Indian aggression. However, the Pakistan Army’s effective response appears to be taking a visible toll on the morale of Indian troops.
Pakistan’s retaliation has caused significant panic and confusion within the Indian ranks, said security sources, adding that India’s aggressive posture has backfired in the face of Pakistan’s resolute defence.
With tensions continuing along the LoC, security officials maintain that the Pakistan Army remains alert and fully capable of responding to any future acts of aggression.
