ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and chief of Muslim Conference, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan has said that there is no room for chaos in Azad Kashmir, adding the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) is working on the enemy’s agenda.
He said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared Kashmir the jugular vein of Pakistan, and nobody can remain healthy without its jugular vein.
He said as the JAAC is working on the enemy’s agenda, the AJK administration will deal with them.
In an interview to website “WE News”, Sardar Attique said that India always wanted chaos in Azad Kashmir and this time it is also funding the campaign.
Action Committee
He said good people are also included in the Action Committee, but they are not aware of the facts, adding their handlers’ strings are being pulled from somewhere else.
Sardar Attique said that All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference had already said in 2023 that the intentions of the Action Committee, which came forward in the name of public rights, were not good, and then “time proved that our stance was correct”.
The former Prime Minister said that in the last protest of the Action Committee, the administration showed great leniency towards those people, but this time it will not happen and I think, the administration will now deal with the elements spreading unrest.
He said that these people speak against Pakistan, adding the statements of Liberation Front leader Dr. Tauqeer Gilani are on record in which he speaks against Pakistan.
Sardar Attique said that on the instructions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, two federal ministers went to Muzaffarabad and negotiated with the representatives of the Action Committee, accepting 36 points, and added JAAC representatives sabotaged the negotiation process for not agreeing to only two demands.
The head of the Muslim Conference said that the Muslim Conference has been advocating the ideology of accession to Pakistan from the beginning and there has never been any change in the stance.
Our principled stance is that after the independence of occupied Kashmir, the whole of Kashmir will accede to Pakistan. He said that only some mischievous elements are spreading chaos.
Sardar Attique said that a common Kashmiri considers the Pakistan Army as a protector while a citizen of occupied Kashmir considers the Indian Army as an occupier.
In response to a question, he said that the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq is a talented personality, even if some people have problems with him, he will not go. “Only the parliamentary party can send him home.”
He said that traders in Dhirkot have announced to keep shops open, while transporters have said that they will bring vehicles on the road. “Actually, shops are kept closed due to fear of vandalism, no one has any desire to close their shop and suffer losses.”
He said that the people of occupied Kashmir bury the bodies of their loved ones in Pakistani flag.
In response to a question about the privileges of the elite, Sardar Attique said that the privileges received by the representatives of Azad Kashmir are not even a tenth of those in Pakistan, India or other countries.
He said that political parties represent the people of Azad Kashmir, and the state cannot be held hostage by a mob of a few thousand.
