NEW YORK (Kashmir English): After US President Donald Trump announced the Gaza Board of Peace, India has become concerned that Donald Trump may also take the Kashmir issue to the Board.

According to British media, Trump has invited India to join the Gaza Board of Peace established for the reconstruction of Gaza, but no decision has been made by India yet.

The Gaza Board of Peace aims to monitor a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and an interim government.

Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates have joined the board, while 59 countries have signed it. 19 countries attended the ceremony in Davos, but Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not attend.

According to British media, India’s decision may affect stability in West Asia and relations with the United States, while there are fears that Trump may also bring the Kashmir issue to the Peace Board in the future.

Speaking at the ceremony, Trump said that this model can be extended to other regions after Gaza.

Former Indian Ambassador Akbaruddin opposed joining the board, calling it a contradiction with UN Resolution 2803, while former Ambassador Ranjit Roy said that the board has no clear term and could be used outside Gaza.
