LAHORE (Kashmir English): The wedding reception of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, was held at Jati Umra farms in Lahore on Sunday.
The walima ceremony was attended by 800 guests, including political bigwigs. A 50-member orchestra entertained the audience with various musical tunes.
International guests, including politicians and the business community, also attended Safdar’s wedding reception.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz, former PM Nawaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Asim attended the Walima reception, while federal and provincial ministers, senators, and other political figures, as well as guests from foreign countries, also participated.
Special arrangements were made for the ceremony, including parking facilities. Separate arrangements have been made for parking 1,000 vehicles outside Jati Umra, while a heavy contingent of Rangers has been deployed along with the police for security.
