ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has confirmed that Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has been shifted back to Adiala Jail after a medical examination at Shifa International Hospital.
Transferred to hospital on the orders of the Supreme Court
Attaullah Tarar said in a statement issued on X that in light of the Supreme Court’s decision, Imran Khan was shifted to the hospital on the intervening night of August 20 and 21 under appropriate security arrangements.
Expert doctors conducted a detailed examination
According to the federal minister, a team of qualified doctors, including an ophthalmologist, cardiologist and physician, conducted a detailed medical examination of Imran Khan, after which he was declared medically fit.
Return to Adiala Jail at 5 am
Atta Tarar said that Imran Khan’s sister Uzma Khan was present during all stages of the medical examination and treatment. After the medical procedure was completed, he was shifted back to Adiala Jail at around 5 am on Friday, where he was shifted to a cell.

Tight security outside the hospital and jail
A heavy police presence was deployed around Shifa International Hospital on the occasion of Imran Khan’s transfer to the hospital. His sisters and doctors also reached Adiala Jail, while Dr. Uzma Khan and Dr. Faisal entered the jail from Gate No. 5.
Discussion of transfer abroad also started
On the other hand, a new discussion has started in political circles after Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry’s statement regarding the possibility of sending Imran Khan abroad. However, currently, Imran Khan has been transferred to Adiala Jail again after a medical examination.
