ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, confirmed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was brought to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a medical check-up to assist his overall health, specifically for his eyes.
During an informal interaction with a reporter, Atta Tarar revealed that eye specialists examined Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. They suggested that the former PM should be shifted to PIMS for further assessment.
This development comes after the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital requested direct access to examine the health condition of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in a post shared on the social media platform X.
The hospital administration wrote that “Several reports are in circulation since last night, suggesting that Mr Imran Khan is suffering from a serious eye condition known as central retinal vein occlusion.”
“Various underlying medical conditions may result in this situation. Although we can’t verify this news independently, we are obviously gravely concerned as to Mr Imran Khan’s health at this time.”
