QUETTA (Kashmi English): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan Muhammad Tahir visited the frontline of the ongoing Operation Shaban against terrorists and paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of security personnel, sources said.

During his visit, IGP, accompanied by DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat, met deployed soldiers, lauded their courage, encouraged them, and offered prayers for their success.

“There would be no compromise on peace. We will defeat the elements hostile to peace at all costs,” IG Police Tahir said.

The IG also paid tribute to police martyrs, saying their sacrifices would never go in vain, and praised the high morale and professionalism of the personnel deployed on the frontline.

He further said security forces were making steady progress and had further tightened the cordon around militants operating in different parts of the province.

“There will be no concession for those attempting to sabotage peace in Balochistan,” the IG said, reiterating that the peace mission will continue with full force until the last fitna [terrorist] is eliminated.
