SRINAGAR (Kashmir English): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has urged the world community to come forward and help the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in ending India’s decades-old occupation of their homeland.
Illegal occupation of Kashmir
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said India has been occupying a large part of Jammu and Kashmir militarily and illegally for the past 78 years.
He said every year, Kashmiris across the world observe October 27 as Black Day to reaffirm their rejection of India’s illegal occupation and their resolve to continue the freedom struggle till complete liberation.
APHC leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Advocate Arshad Iqbal, Hafiza Fehmida, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Fayaz Hussain Jafari, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, representatives of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muslim Conference, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, and others, in their separate statements in Srinagar, said the Kashmiris’ just struggle for freedom cannot be suppressed through military might.
