ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The recent Google Gemini’s “nano banana AI saree’ image trend is all over social media, attracting users to transform their regular selfies into retro Bollywood portraits.

The netizens have been sharing AI-generated images in a red saree, spamming the social media feed with 90’s retro-style Bollywood portraits.

On August 26, Google rolled out the Nano Banana AI image generation tool to the Gemini app, allowing users to convert images into different styles and also make innovative edits to the image with the help of AI.

As the trend is all over the internet, many users are trying to participate by transforming their own images. If you want to join the trend and don’t know how to do it, you are at the right place.

Guide for AI red saree image

Here is the step-by-step guide and prompts to create a red saree AI image using the Gemini.

  • First of all, install the Google Gemini app from the Play Store or App Store or access Google AI Studio.
  • In the app, select the Nano Banana icon option or click ‘try image editing’ to use editing too
  • Upload a high-resolution solo selfie with no distracting objects and your face clearly visible
  • Enter a well-liked prompt or create a vintage or a Bollywood-style portrait. The prompts should mention saree colour, drape style, background, lighting, hairstyle, and mood.
  • Send the prompt, and Gemini will take a few seconds to analyse the prompt and generate the AI image.
  • Once it’s generated, it can be saved or downloaded for free on your device.

The saree edits range from flowing chiffons in vivid or pastel hues to striking red or black sarees, and even gentle whites with polka dots.

Nano Banana AI Saree Prompts

The following are a few of the best prompts that creators have been employing to get their edits to go viral:

  1. Transform the subject into a vintage Bollywood heroine in a flowing red chiffon saree, hair styled in soft waves. The background should have a romantic, dramatic feel with warm tones, a minimalist design, and golden sunset light.
  2. Transform the person in the image into a 90’s Bollywood actress in a red chiffon saree with wavy open hair. Fill the background with a warm tone that showcases glowing sunset light for a dramatic look.
  3. Turn the uploaded photo into a cinematic 90s Bollywood rain sequence. The subject wears a dark saree, drenched and glistening, with dramatic rain falling in the background. Lighting is moody and romantic, capturing monsoon nostalgia.
  4. Turn this person into a 90s retro-inspired portrait wearing a shimmering black chiffon saree. The background is a deep wall with dramatic shadows, lit by golden-hour tones. Expression is calm yet mysterious, evoking old Bollywood posters.

What is Nano Banana?

Nano Banana is an image-editing AI embedded in Google’s Gemini app. It initially gained popularity for producing 3D edits that resembled figurines, but the practice quickly spread to other formats, most notably the wildly popular saree edits.

Users can upload a photo, typically a clear, solo selfie, to the app, and instruct the AI to create a stylised image of a person wearing a saree, surrounded by golden light, often featuring vintage or cinematic backgrounds.
