BEIJING (Kashmir English): Honor has launched its new smartphone series, the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro, with their incredible 8,000mAh batteries.
According to the company, this battery can easily power smartphones for 2 days, which is a significant increase compared to any major brand in the market.
The new models also feature a redesigned design, which resembles the iPhone Air due to the raised camera visor on the back.
Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro Specs
The Honor 500 weighs 198 grams, while the Pro model weighs 201 grams. Both phones have an aluminum frame and glass back with a thickness of 7.8 mm and are introduced with IP68 and IP69K water and dust resistance.
The display features are kept the same on both models, including a 6.55-inch LTPO OLED screen, 120Hz refresh rate, and impressive brightness of up to 6,000 nits. The screen also features an in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of performance, the Honor 500 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite while the Honor 500 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip.
Both devices run on Android 16-based MagicOS 10, while the Pro model comes with an option of up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
There is also a significant difference in the camera setup. Both phones include a 200-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
However, the Pro model also has an additional 50-megapixel telephoto camera that provides 3x optical zoom. For selfies, both phones have a 50-megapixel front camera.
In terms of battery, both phones include a giant 8,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, with 80-watt fast charging, while the Pro model also has 50-watt wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro Price in Pakistan
The Honor 500 has been priced at $380 in China, while the Honor 500 Pro starts at $506. The prices of these models are likely to be relatively high in the international market.
