ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Friday reduced petrol and diesel prices by Rs1.97 per liter each for the next week, according to the notification.
According to the notification from the Petroleum Division, the price per liter of petrol was reduced by Rs1.97, after which the new price of petrol became Rs.297.53 per liter.
In addition, the price of diesel has also been reduced by Rs1.97, and the new price of diesel became Rs.309. 50 per liter.
It is worth noting that the government maintained the prices of petroleum products last week, this week it was expected that a major reduction would be made. But a slight reduction has been made. On the other hand, crude oil prices in the global market are continuously decreasing.
Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has recently said that they will provide relief to consumers.
