ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Thursday hiked the petrol and diesel prices, effective Friday, September 4, a day after the fuel prices were raised.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was raised by Rs 2.84 per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 2.28 per liter.
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of the petroleum products for September 4, 2026,” the notification stated.
With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 349 per liter and diesel at Rs 374.31 per liter.
On September 3, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) hiked the petrol price to Rs 346.16 per liter and the diesel price to Rs 372.03 per liter.
The revised prices are in line with the government’s ongoing policy of issuing fuel prices on a daily basis from Monday to Friday based on international oil markets.
