ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Thursday announced Rs 5 million in cash compensation for the families of each newborn who died in a fire at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad, the state-run APP reported.
As per the report, the government said that the assistance has been extended as a measure of solace to the grieving parents, acknowledging that “no monetary amount can ever substitute for precious human life.”
The government described this financial support as a sincere effort to help ease the hardships of the bereaved families.
It further “assured that it will continue to provide all possible cooperation and support to the affected families in the wake of the incident.”
The statement also conveyed deep sorrow over the tragedy and a message of solidarity with the bereaved families.
