ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The government has made a big announcement to pay salaries and pensions of all government employees early to double the joys of Eid.
According to the details, the Azad Kashmir government has ordered the payment of salaries and pensions for March 2026 before the due date to include government employees and pensioners in the joys of Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the notification issued, payments will be made to all government employees and pensioners on March 16, 2026. This decision aims to provide financial relief to the employees so that they can easily complete their Eid preparations.
The special thing about this decision is that the employees have already received their February salaries earlier this month, which means that they will receive payments twice in the month of March.
The Finance Department has clarified that retired people will also get a pension on March 16, so that they do not have to face any financial hardship.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has also given important information regarding the moon sighting of Eid-ul-Fitr. It has been said that the possibility of sighting the Shawwal moon on March 19 is very low, which means that the 30 days of Ramadan can be completed.
There is a strong possibility that the moon will be seen on March 20 and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21. However, the final decision on the date of Eid will be taken by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
