Gold rates in Pakistan drop for second consecutive day

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Gold rates in Pakistan experienced another minor decline on Monday, which matched the international price trends.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of one tola lost Rs. 1,600 to settle at Rs. 495,362, while 10 grams dropped by Rs. 1,371 to reach Rs. 424,693.

US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the United States Navy will start blockading the Strait of Hormuz “immediately” after peace talks between the US and Iran in Pakistan ended without an agreement.

On Saturday, gold lost Rs. 700 to reach Rs. 496,962 per tola. Silver decreased by Rs. 130 to reach Rs. 7,934 per tola.
