MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Amidst the uncertainty over the global economy, gold prices have reached record highs across the world, including Pakistan.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan has increased by Rs 10,000 to a record high of Rs 338,800.
According to the association, the price of 10 grams of gold in the country has also increased by Rs 8,573 to Rs 290,466.
On the other hand, the price of gold in the global market has increased by $ 100 to $ 3,218 per ounce.
A huge increase in gold prices was recorded on Friday in both international and local markets. Gold became expensive by $ 100 per ounce in the international bullion market, as a result of which the new price reached a high of $ 3,218 per ounce.
Similarly, the price of 24-carat gold in local bullion markets also witnessed a historic increase of Rs 10,000 per tola, taking the new price to Rs 338,800 per tola.
At the local level, the price of gold per 10 grams has increased by Rs 8,573, taking the new price to Rs 290,466.
