ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a new schedule for gas supply to domestic users during the holy month of Ramzan 2026, which is set to start on February 19.

The SNGPL spokesperson said that consumers across Punjab, including Lahore, will get gas supply from 3 am to 10:30 pm daily.

The company said that “the demand for gas increases significantly during the Sehri and Iftar times during Ramzan, in view of which the supply system has been reorganised to provide maximum convenience to consumers.”

In case of low gas pressure or any other issue, customers can contact the Sui Northern Gas helpline at 1199 for assistance,” he said.

The company aims to ensure an uninterrupted gas supply to its customers during Ramazan, the spokesperson added.

Company officials further said that consumer cooperation is also essential for the balanced use of gas and the prevention of waste, so that uninterrupted facilities can be provided to everyone during Ramadan.

Gas supply in Karachi

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has also issued a revised gas supply schedule for Karachi and the surrounding areas for the holy month of Ramzan.

It said that gas would be available from 3 am to 9 am for Sehri and from 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm for Iftar.

The gas company further said that it would carry out gas pressure profiling from 9 am to 3:30 pm and from 10 pm to 3 am to ensure improved gas pressure during Ramazan.

For that, the supply is expected to be suspended during these hours to manage overall demand during Sehri and Iftar.

“An approximate 10 percent annual decline in the country’s gas reserves has widened the gap between gas demand and supply,” the SSGC stated.

The announcement said that timings had been worked out to provide convenience to people with food preparations for Sehr and Iftar.
