RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Security forces killed four terrorists of the Indian-backed Fitna-ul-Khawarij in intelligence-based operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these operations were carried out on the intervening night of June 3 and 4.

According to the ISPR, the first operation was carried out on a confirmed tip-off about the presence of Khawarij in Dera Ismail Khan.

Security forces effectively targeted the hideout of the terrorists, which resulted in a fierce exchange of fire, and two terrorists of the Fitna-ul-Khawarij were killed during the operation.

The second intelligence-based operation was carried out in Mohmand district, where security forces killed two more Khawarij. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists.

According to the ISPR, the slain terrorists were involved in various terrorist activities in the area. The forces are also conducting a clearance operation in the area to find and eliminate any other foreigners present.

The Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department said in a statement that counter-terrorism operations will continue uninterrupted until the scourge of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism is completely eradicated.
