MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Former Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, has lamented that the government was appointing NTS-passed candidates on the waiting list on ad-hoc basis.

Instead of temporary appointments of candidates on the waiting list in the NTS merit list on vacant posts until the next exam, the government should appoint them on permanent basis, he added.

“It is regrettable that those who passed are being offered purely temporary appointments. They have passed a competitive exam and should be appointed on a permanent basis.”

‘AJK govt has no policy’

Talking to a group of candidates, Raja Farooq Haider Khan further said that the government has no direction/ policy, which is causing problems.

In response to a question, Raja Farooq Haider said if public issues are not discussed within the elected house of Azad Kashmir, the feeling of deprivation among the people will increase.

The proceedings of the Legislative Assembly should be broadcast live on local cable operators and social media so that people know how their elected representatives represent them in the House, he demanded.
