ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Chairman of the Islamic Ideological Council, Allama Dr. Raghib Hussain Naeemi, has announced the rates of Sadaqah-ul-Fitr and Fidyah-ul-Sawm for Ramadan 2026.
According to the press release, the minimum amount of Sadaqah-ul-Fitr and Fidyah-ul-Sawm this year has been set at Rs. 300 per person.
Rate of Sadaqah-ul-Fitr and Fidyah-ul-Sawm by commodity: The details of payment per person based on the prices of various commodities are as follows:
- Wheat flour: Rs. 300
- Barley: Rs. 1100
- Dates: Rs. 1600
- Raisins: Rs. 3800
- Manqi: Rs. 5400
- Government flour: Rs. 200.
For those who are able-bodied and can not fast, the ransom for 30 days is as follows:
- Rs. 9,000 for wheat
- Rs. 33,000 for barley
- Rs. 48,000 for dates
- Rs. 1,14,000 for raisins.
Kaffara for breaking the fast and other orders
The Chairman Council clarified that Zakat al-Fitr is obligatory on every Muslim, male, female, young, and old. He advised those who are able-bodied to adopt the nisab of expensive commodities according to their financial status instead of relying only on wheat so that the deserving can be helped as much as possible.
