NORTH WAZIRISTAN (Kashmir English): One civilian was martyred, and several houses were damaged in separate quadcopter drone attacks in North Waziristan and Lakki Marwat districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said on Saturday.

As per the locals, around six quadcopter drone strikes were carried out by Fitna Al Khawarij [Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan] in Harmuz village of Mir Ali tehsil, North Waziristan, last night.

The strikes reportedly damaged several residential houses, while fears of civilian casualties have also been raised. However, no loss of life has been confirmed so far.

In a separate incident in Lakki Marwat, a quadcopter drone reportedly struck a house, killing a man identified as Yaseen.

The attacks have been attributed to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), although the claims have not been independently verified.

Authorities have yet to confirm further details about the incidents.
