QUETTA (Kashmir English): The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison and met with commanders and commanding officers of field formations.
According to the ISPR, during the visit, the Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces were given a comprehensive briefing on the current security situation in Balochistan.
The Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces were also briefed on operational preparedness and ongoing measures to maintain peace and stability in Balochistan.
Issues related to institutional coordination and support for the socio-economic development of the province were also reviewed.
The COAS Syed Asim Munir appreciated the professionalism, operational preparedness, and selfless determination of the Pakistan Army personnel.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir stressed the importance of continuous coordination between law enforcement agencies and other state institutions for the consolidation of peace and said that the consolidation of peace will help maintain a conducive environment for sustainable economic activities and development.
The Field Marshal said that the peace, prosperity and welfare of the people of Balochistan are the center of the state’s efforts. A stable and secure environment will continue to support development initiatives, economic opportunities and a better future for the people of the province.
The Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces paid tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs.
CDF Syed Asim Munir appreciated the steadfastness and dedication of the officers and soldiers in the performance of their duties.
Upon arrival in Quetta, the Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces were welcomed by the Commander, Quetta Corps.
