KOTLI (Kashmir English): A video circulating online, which showcases a huge protest in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, has been declared fake. The investigation revealed that the video being used is old and has no link to the current situation.

According to the investigation, the misleading video was spread by an Indian-run handler account, OSINT Updates, which attempted to portray the clip as evidence of widespread riots and road closures in the region.

Authorities confirmed that the intention behind this propaganda was to mislead the public and create uncertainty.

Contrary to the false claims, the situation in Azad Kashmir, including Kotli, is completely normal with no major protests or incidents of violence reported.

Officials have appealed to the public not to trust or share unverified content on social media, stressing the importance of rejecting propaganda and relying on authentic sources for information.
