Dubai (Kashmir English): Pakistan once again faced defeat in the match against India in the ongoing Asia Cup in the UAE.
In the Super Four stage match of the Asia T20 Cup 2025, India won the toss and elected to field first. Pakistani team, batting first, scored 171 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
India achieved the target of 172 runs in the 19th over with the loss of 4 wickets, thus Pakistan faced defeat from India for the second time in the tournament.
Pakistan’s chances of playing Asia Cup final
After the defeat to India, Pakistan’s chances of playing in the tournament final have become limited, and Pakistan will now have to win both of its upcoming matches to reach the final.
Even in the event of a single match defeat, Pakistan will be out of the tournament. Pakistan’s next match in the tournament will be against Sri Lanka on September 23, and the second match will be against Bangladesh on September 25.
It should be noted that Bangladesh has already won one match in the Super Four stage.
