MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan Emir, Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, has said that the deaths of 66 children due to hunger in Gaza is a point of concern for the whole Ummah.
“The rulers of the Ummah have become tools of the West instead of representing the people. Without getting rid of cowardly rulers, neither public problems can be solved nor can the Ummah achieve glory,” he said this while addressing a gathering here. He said Jamaat-e-Islami is striving to erase every sign of oppression and injustice.
He said the people of the electricity-generating regions were suffering from load-shedding which, he added, is due to incompetence of the rulers.
JI to establish a system based on justice
He further said that the public should support Jamaat-e-Islami as it will establish a system of justice, solve the problems of the state’s people, and take practical steps for the liberation of the rest of Kashmir.
Deputy Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Azhar Iqbal Hassan, Raja Fazil Tabassum, and other leaders also addressed the gathering.
Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the only democratic party that elects its officials at every level through the ballot paper.
Other parties have dynastic rule; there is no place for any worker, whereas in Jamaat-e-Islami, even an ordinary worker can become the Emir of the party.
Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan invited the youth of Azad Kashmir to join Jamaat-e-Islami adding that it is the best platform through which a struggle for real change can be waged.
He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is starting a program for the youth on the pattern of ‘Bano Qabil’, through which one hundred thousand youth will be taught modern skills to make them capable of respectable employment.
He said the rulers have done nothing for the people of Azad Kashmir, except for favouring their relatives.
