MUZAFFARABAD: Following the instructions of the Prime Minister of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), drain cleaning drive has been launched in Muzaffarabad ahead of Monsoon season.
The Commissioner of Muzaffarabad Division visited Gojra drain and Shuwai drain. The machinery and staff of the District Administration, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Highways Department, Municipal Corporation, Development Authority Muzaffarabad are being used in the cleaning campaign.
Moreover, people living near the drains are also being instructed to shift to a safe place during the monsoon season through notices.
All departments of emergency services are fully prepared and active to deal with any emergency situation in a coordinated and systematic manner. The leaves of all employees have been canceled.
The cleaning work of Gojra Nullah has been completed. The Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division has issued instructions to complete the cleaning work of Shawai Nullah as soon as possible.
