DG ISPR Holds Interactive Session With Students on Military Role

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Director General (DG) of Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, held an interactive session with the students and teachers of Convent Jesus and Mary, Beaconhouse, and Roots School System.

During the session, DG ISPR briefed about the operational matters of the Pakistan Army and the internal security situation of the country. Urging students to search for the facts in their correct perspective, while cautioning against propaganda and the dissemination of false information on social media.

Teachers & Students Praise Pak Army

The principal, Convent Jesus and Mary, appreciated the sacrifices of the armed forces, while the students and teachers shared their opinions.

Students termed the session “a great honour” and felt proud while seeing the readiness of the military to lay everything for the motherland.

Teachers said the session underlined how to counter strategic arrogance by Pakistan’s eternal adversaries. Students said that as responsible citizens, it was their duty to fact-check news and protect themselves against misinformation on the internet.

They mentioned that the Pakistan Army and the people have consolidated a strong national front against external threats. The students acknowledged taking cognizance of the function of the military in saving the country from terrorism.

Earlier, the Pakistan Army foiled an Indian backed Afghan Lhwarij attack on Cadet College, located in Wana, South Waziristan.

During the operation, the Pakistan Army rescued all 650 students and staff members within the jurisdiction of Wana Cadet College, eliminating the five Khwarij that entered the college.

Field Marshal/ Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Asim Munir closely monitored the operation and due to the prompt actions of the army, successfully foiled the attack.
