ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Director-General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has confirmed the presence of Pakistani troops and multiple military capabilities in Saudi Arabia.
In an interview with CNN, Lt Gen Sharif said that Pakistani military personnel have been in Saudi Arabia for decades.
“Under the Makkah Defence Agreement, Pakistani troops present in Saudi Arabia belong to different domains,” he stated.
DG ISPR said the Makkah Alliance is not something that has emerged in a vacuum, adding that there is a longstanding diplomatic, political, military and people-to-people relationship between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye.
“So I can share with you that Pakistani troops, in multiple capabilities and domains, are already there,” Lt Gen said.
