ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): An in-camera session led by DG ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, is underway with key political leaders to discuss Pakistan’s national security in light of recent regional developments.

According to sources, the DG ISPR is briefing political party representatives on the preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces amidst the tense atmosphere following the Pahalgam false flag operation. A significant number of political leaders are attending the session, which is being held behind closed doors due to the sensitivity of the discussions.

The ongoing meeting is focused on evaluating the current national security landscape. Political leaders are being updated on the government’s diplomatic initiatives as well as the official stance of the state regarding recent provocations.

During the briefing, DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country that desires stability in the region. However, he made it clear that if aggression is imposed on Pakistan, the armed forces are fully prepared to respond decisively and effectively to any threat.

The DG ISPR assured the participants that the military is in a high state of readiness and capable of delivering a strong response to any hostile action. He also highlighted that Pakistan’s pursuit of peace should not be mistaken for weakness.

Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar also addressed the gathering, informing political leaders about the government’s diplomatic steps and reaffirming the state’s unified position on regional security matters.
