LAHORE (Kashmir English): The official extended closure date for the Prime Minister‘s Youth Laptop Scheme (PMYLS) registration will be June 1st of the year 2025.
This announcement will give students additional time to apply to this initiative. The PMYLS program is designed to provide student empowerment through technology.
The deadline date was set for May 20th. The government of Pakistan is granting a 10–day extension as a result of significant interest and requests from students for a prolonged deadline.
Therefore, students who are eligible to apply and who are enrolled in public sector universities are encouraged to register online. The PM Youth Laptop Scheme is one of the cornerstones of the government‘s broader campaign for digital access, and this initiative can promote a greater opportunity for learning and success throughout the country.
Students who qualify and would like to apply are strongly encouraged to register before the new deadline. There has been made past statements that there will not be any more extension.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, you must be a Pakistani citizen currently enrolled in a public sector higher education institution (HEI) in Pakistan and have not previously received a laptop under any other Federal or Provincial Government scheme. The scheme is based on merit, with preference given to high-achieving and financially deserving students.
