ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): China on Tuesday announced gifting a modern fleet of 21 fire and rescue vehicles worth Rs3 billion to help upgrade Islamabad’s emergency response infrastructure.
In a statement on X, China’s Embassy in Pakistan said the initiative reinforces the shared commitment of Pakistan and China to public safety and disaster resilience.
“China is gifting a modern fleet of 21 fire & rescue vehicles valued at PKR 3 billion to upgrade Islamabad’s emergency response infrastructure,” the statement added.

The embassy further said that the fleet is expected to arrive in September and will feature an advanced 88m snorkel tender, substantially “bolstering emergency response capability and high-rise rescue operations across the capital.”
“A testament to our timeless, all-weather strategic cooperative partnership serving and protecting our communities together,” it added.
