KARACHI (Kashmir English): Chery Master Pakistan has unveiled the release schedule of its latest electric car, the Chery Q, in Pakistan.
The unveiling ceremony will take place on September 18 during PAPS 2026 in Pakistan.
Details regarding pricing and reservations will be revealed on this occasion when the carmaker presents its electric offering to Pakistanis at the auto expo.
It is being presented as an urban electric car for day-to-day commute purposes and will cater to those seeking a secondary family automobile.
According to specifications, the Chery Q carries a 42.7 kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers a range of up to 400 km under NEDC conditions. The efficiency figure stands at 9.4 km/unit of energy used.
In terms of measurements, the car stretches 4,195 mm in length while boasting a 2,700 mm wheelbase, giving rise to a fairly large footprint despite its compact exterior silhouette.
The Chery Q model will include Level 2 ADAS, which consists of 21 advanced driver assistance systems. Apart from this, the vehicle will have the following technological features: automatic parking assist, 15.6-inch 2.5K display, connectivity via smartphone apps, and Vehicle-to-Load capability.
Chery Master Pakistan intends to capitalize on Pakistan’s increasing rooftop solar market through electric vehicles by allowing homes to utilize their excess rooftop solar power for EV charging purposes.
As per estimations provided by Chery Master Pakistan, an ordinary petrol-powered car covering about 20,000 kilometers per year could burn up to Rs. 488,000 worth of fuel.
Based on a realistic estimation of efficiency of about 7.2 kilometers per kilowatt-hour, the annual energy cost of operating the Chery Q EV could drop to just Rs. 30,000 for those who manage to charge their cars from their rooftops’ excess solar generation.
These kinds of savings may become increasingly significant as rooftop solar installations expand across the country. The firm revealed that Pakistan had imported 17 gigawatts worth of solar PV modules in 2024, resulting in more people being able to charge EVs from their rooftops’ excess solar generation.
On September 18, Chery Master Pakistan will officially unveil the pricing and reservation information regarding the launch of the Chery Q model at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026.
The launch event will mark the addition of yet another electric variant to its existing new energy vehicle portfolio.
As per figures shared by the company, the new energy vehicle category witnessed a growth rate of 392 percent in FY2025-26, accounting for nearly 15 percent of Pakistan’s total automobile industry.
