ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Changan has officially launched the Nevo Hunter REEV in Pakistan, introducing what the company describes as the world’s first REEV 4×4 pickup truck to the local market.
The new pickup combines an electric powertrain with range-extender technology, all-wheel drive and SUV-like comfort.
Changan says the Nevo Hunter can cover more than 900 kilometers on a combined range, allowing drivers to travel longer distances without depending entirely on charging infrastructure.
Engine and Performance
The Changan Nevo Hunter REEV features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and an all-wheel-drive system. It delivers 322 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque.
The pickup carries a 31.18 kWh battery and offers a claimed electric range of 131 kilometers under the NEDC cycle. Its combined fuel and electric systems provide a claimed range of more than 900 kilometers, while the vehicle comes with a 70-liter fuel tank.
The Nevo Hunter measures 5,380 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,920 mm in height, with a 3,180 mm wheelbase.
It offers several driving modes, including Eco, Comfort, Sport, Traction and Custom. Drivers can also select Snow, Mud, Sand, Crawl, Towing and Off-road modes for different terrains and conditions.
Features, Safety and Price
The Pakistan-spec Nevo Hunter REEV comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, a six-speaker audio system and 50W wireless charging.
For safety, Changan has equipped the pickup with six airbags, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control, parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Changan is promoting the pickup under the tagline “Explore Your Freedom,” highlighting its combination of electric performance, 4×4 capability, long-distance travel and off-road functionality.
The company has set the introductory price of the Nevo Hunter REEV at Rs. 10,990,000, while the booking amount stands at Rs. 2,200,000. The introductory price remains subject to terms and conditions.
