Bilawal’s schedule for AJK election campaign unveiled

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address a series of public rallies across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as part of the party’s campaign for the upcoming general elections.

According to the campaign schedule issued on Wednesday, Bilawal will address a public rally in Dadyal on July 17, followed by a rally in Kotli on July 19.

He is scheduled to address another jalsa in Nakyal on July 21, before holding a rally in Mirpur on July 22.

The PPP chairman will conclude the announced phase of his campaign with a public rally in Muzaffarabad on July 24, ahead of the polling day, scheduled on July 27.

The party said the schedule for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s remaining election rallies across Azad Jammu and Kashmir will be announced later.

Earlier today, Bhutto addressed his party’s office bearers and ticket holders in AJK, where he discussed the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and election preparations.

He said that the situation in the region since last month was very concerning, and the longer it persisted, the more harm would be caused to the Kashmir cause and Pakistan’s reputation.

Bilawal arrives in AJK

PPP Chairman arrived in the AJK’s capital on Tuesday and was received by Prime Minister of AJK Faisal Rathore, other senior PPP leaders, and workers.

Senior PPP leader Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, Minister and Deputy Information Secretary Nabila Ayub, Prime Minister’s Spokesperson Shaukat Javed Mir, and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.

In a statement, the party said Bilawal will lead the PPP’s election campaign across Azad Kashmir and address a series of public rallies in different districts of the state, adding that he will stay in AJK until the state elections.

Later in the day, he chaired a meeting of the party officials and ticket holders to devise a future strategy for the upcoming general elections. Party leaders briefed Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the party election campaign in AJK.
