MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir weather: Intermittent rain continued in Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Jhelum Valley, and adjoining areas on Sunday, ending the dry spell in Azad Kashmir.

Moreover, snowfall persisted in the mountainous regions of Neelum, Muzaffarabad, and Hattian Bala districts, intensifying the cold weather across the region.

Light to moderate snowfall was reported on the peaks of Pir Chinasi, Koh-e-Makra, and Pirhasi Mar.

The mountains of Leepa Valley, Daukhan Reshiyan, and Chikar were also blanketed in white, presenting a scenic view but adding to the chill.

In Neelum Valley, rain was recorded in the lower areas for the second consecutive day, whereas intermittent snowfall continued in the upper parts of the valley.

The ongoing rain and snowfall have brought an end to the dry spell and are expected to help improve underground water reserves.

Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted light to moderate rainfall, along with cold winds, across the country today.

Additionally, it stated that fog and smog will prevail in eastern Punjab and upper Sindh, whereas rain will be observed in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and snowfall in the mountains is expected.

Moreover, Rain in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Malakand, Buner, Kohistan, and snowfall in the mountains are expected.
