MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast heavy rain and thundershower at isolated places across Azad Kashmir on the night of July 5, 2025.

Moreover, the Met Office also predicted heavy rainfall in Azad Kashmir and other areas of Pakistan on July 6 (Sunday) and 7 (Monday). The weather advisory stated that the hill torrents of the region can experience flash floods in local nullahs/streams.

It further added that heavy rains may generate flash floods in Murree, Galliyat, Manshera, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Buner, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, hill torrents of D.G Khan, Northeast Punjab, and parts of Balochistan.

The metrological department said that “weak moist currents are penetrating in upper/central parts of the country” from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal and are likely to strengthen tomorrow night.

“A westerly wave is also expected to affect the upper part from tomorrow evening or night,” it added.

In the past 24 hours, the weather remained hot and humid over most parts of the country, including Azad Kashmir; however, rain-thundershower occurred at isolated places.
