MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has started reshuffling administrative officers after the formation of the cabinet and allocation of departments to ministers.

According to details, after the formation of the cabinet and allocation of departments to ministers, the Government has transferred Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Yasir Riaz and appointed him as Deputy Secretary, Department of Services and General Administration against a vacant post.

Sajid Aslam posted DC Mirpur

According to a notification issued by the Department of Services and General Administration, Grade 18 officer Deputy Director MDHA Sajid Aslam has been transferred and appointed Deputy Commissioner Mirpur.

According to sources, more transfers are expected in the coming days, and a large-scale reshuffle of secretaries is also anticipated.

It is worth noting that former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq had made many transfers and promotions of officers in his last days.

Usually, a new government brings in bureaucracy and administrative officers of its choice, and further transfers are expected.

It is also worth noting that Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has allocated departments to the 20-member cabinet.

The Ministries of Information and Interior have not been allocated to any minister by the Prime Minister for now, and it is expected that he will keep these two important ministries with himself.
