MUMBAI (Kashmir English): The Indian Women’s team defeated the Australian Women’s team by 5 wickets in the second semi-final of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 to reach the final.
In the match between Australia Women vs India Women, the host team chased the target in 48.3 overs.
Batting first, Australia Women scored 338 runs in 49.5 overs. Phoebe Litchfield played a brilliant innings of 119 runs, while Ellyse Perry added 77 and Ashley Gardner added 63 runs.
Sri Charni and Deepti Sharma took 2 wickets each for India.
Chasing the target, the India Women achieved a brilliant victory by batting confidently. Jemimah Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 127, along with captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who played a brilliant innings of 89.
A brilliant partnership of 167 runs between the two turned the tide of the match.
