NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Army has begun the restoration of the Shounter Road, which was blocked for the last two months due to heavy snowfall.
The road is being opened up by lifting snow from areas including Kiel, Kalalot, Kandianwala Bela, and zones two miles above.
The two-month road closure has led to daily life disruptions causing inconvenience for tourists as well as the local public.
Brigadier Muhammad Imran Arshad Cheema of 32 Brigade Kiel ordered the restoration process, which started on Saturday.
The residents of the Shounter region have thanked the Pakistani army for considering the matter and helping the residents.
Additionally, the public thanked the Pakistan army for its efforts in helping Kashmiris residing on the Line of Control, especially for providing health facilities in Grace Valley and restoring the road of Shounter Valley.
This development highlights the Pakistan Army’s commitment to serving the community and ensuring the accessibility of essential infrastructure.
