CALIFORNIA (Kashmir English): Apple’s first foldable iPhone, predicted to be available at the end of 2026, is going to be the first step for the company to conquer the foldable phone market.
The company has gone through a meticulous process of observing other manufacturers’ foldable phones, their pros and cons such as the screen creasing, and the issues with the hinge, and based on their observations, they are confident that not only are they the ones who have fixed it but also that they are the ones who are going to take the users to a premium smartphone experience.
Ming-Chi Kuo, the analyst, thinks that the foldable iPhone will have a thickness of 4.5 mm when opened fully—that’s even less than Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
In its closed state, the gadget will still be thin and easy to carry, at 9–9.5 mm, which will, in turn, make it a prominent player in the foldable phone market.
The iPhone will eventually be packed with the latest tech and offer an extremely elegant design. Prices are expected to be set between $2,000 and $2,500.
This strategy places Apple in a situation where it can cater to the segment of users that is looking for nothing less than a top-notch smartphone with the latest technologies and innovations.
