RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan, were arrested by Punjab Police on Tuesday from a police checkpoint near Adiala Jail.
According to details, police also detained several workers of PTI along with the sisters of the former prime minister. The police later left for Chakri Interchange after detaining both the leaders.
Taking on X, Imran Khan-founded PTI termed the arrest as absolutely disgraceful.
“Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan, sisters of Imran Khan, are being arrested and taken to an undisclosed location merely for demanding a court-ordered meeting with their imprisoned brother,” the party’s X handle wrote.

Earlier, Aleema Khan had staged a sit-in with Salman Akram Raja and other lawyers near Adiala Jail. Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khanum said that she would not leave here until she met her brother.
Aleema said that they were stopped two kilometers away from the jail, stopping us from meeting incarcerated Imran Khan. Salman Akram, Zaheer Abbas, and Naeem Panjotha were also stopped.
