KOTLI (Kashmir English): Al-Khidmat Foundation organised a Donors’ Conference in Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), yesterday, where generous residents donated Rs14.5 million for the annual sponsorship of 152 orphaned children, with prominent figures praising the initiative and emphasising the importance of dignified financial support.
At the Donors’ Conference for Orphan Sponsorship, the Al-Khidmat Foundation arranged in Kotli city residents showed outstanding charitable spirit by contributing Rs14.5 million to support 152 orphan children throughout one year.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Former Government Minister Sardar Farooq Sikandar, MD Anwar Memorial Hospital Dr Malik Muhammad Yaqub, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir Habib-ur-Rehman Afaaqi, former Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Raja Mushtaq Ahmed Advocate, former District Bar President Raja Javed Akhtar Advocate, Aqab Hashmi Advocate, Mahmood Akhtar Advocate, Zahid-ul-Hassan Advocate, Suhail Fazil Advocate, renowned businessman Chaudhry Abdul Razzaq, Professor Dr Yaqub Haider, and others.
During the event, Colonel (R) Zafar Rasheed Abbasi led as president of Al-Khidmat Foundation’s central board while district president Chaudhry Muhammad Arif acted as host.
Rasheed Abbasi explained that the Al-Khidmat Foundation began its orphan sponsorship project by following Prophetic guidance. The organization executes an orderly procedure to obtain orphan child data followed by donor recruitment to manage their expenses.
He emphasized that the organization aims to give orphaned children financial backing that upholds their dignity as their proper care leads them toward self-reliance. All participants praised Kotli residents because they donated their financial resources with honesty and goodwill which led to the conference becoming a major success.
The Al-Khidmat Foundation Kotli administration received praise from Colonel Abbasi who recognized their essential role in delivering success to the event.
Akhtar Abbas from Lahore, Dr Malik Muhammad Yaqub, Al-Khidmat Foundation Kotli Upper President Chaudhry Muhammad Arif and Hakeem Muhammad Hafeez together with several other speakers addressed the conference. Donors received praise from speakers who reassured their dedication to serving orphaned children.
The Donors’ Conference displayed social welfare commitments from the community members who worked together to provide financial help which secured a positive outlook for orphaned children.
