ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): AJK, UK PML-N leaders meet PM Shehbaz to discuss the political situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and review ongoing federal development initiatives in the region on Tuesday.
A high-level delegation from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday at the Prime Minister’s Office. The meeting focused on the political situation in AJK and ongoing development programs supported by the federal government.
The delegation included President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Kashmir, Shah Ghulam Qadir; Secretary General Tariq Farooq; and Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, the President of the PML-N UK chapter.
They were joined by federal representatives, including Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam, Minister for Public Affairs Rana Mubashir Iqbal, and Prime Minister’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including the political climate in Azad Kashmir and ongoing federal development programs for the region.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif listened to the concerns of the Azad Kashmir leadership and expressed his full support and cooperation. He assured the delegation that the federal government is committed to continuing and expanding development efforts in Azad Kashmir.
The Azad Jammu and Kashmirs (AJK) and UK PML-N leadership discussed regional needs and acknowledged the federal government’s efforts.
The meeting included detailed consultations on key issues, with outcomes expected to materialize in the coming days.
The Prime Minister’s assurance of support has been welcomed by the Azad Kashmir delegation, marking this meeting as an important step toward strengthening ties between the federal government and Azad Kashmir leadership.
