AJK Police launches awareness campaign to prevent drug abuse among students

NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Neelam Khawaja Siddique, an awareness campaign was held in schools to prevent drugs at Police Chowki Janawi.

On the instructions of senior police officials, the Chowki Officer held a detailed session on drug awareness and the harms of drugs in various schools and colleges in all educational institutions of Guraze Valley and informed the school students that cigarettes, snuff, and tobacco make people addicts and then push them to use more powerful substances like Hashish and Powder.

Chowki Officer Janawi Naseer Khan, while addressing the awareness session to the students regarding drug prevention, said that drugs are a curse and a cause of the destruction of life.

He urged the students to stay away from the drug and also spread this awareness to their family members so that they can also avoid this curse.

While speaking to the students, he explained that students are the future of our country and we must protect them from bad influences like drugs.

Additionally, he explained to the students that drugs create various health issues. Sessions were held in all institutions to prevent drugs, and an important meeting was also held with teachers. The public has welcomed the ongoing awareness walk in educational institutions by the Azad Kashmir Police to prevent drugs.
