ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s political affairs advisor, Senator Rana Sanaullah, has said that the decision to make Barrister Iftikhar Gilani the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir was Nawaz Sharif’s.
Rana Sanaullah said that the decision to make Barrister Iftikhar Gilani the Prime Minister was of the party leadership and Mian Nawaz Sharif.
He further said that it was a difficult decision for the party leadership, but the decision was in favor of Iftikhar Gilani; no one was wronged by this decision.
Rana Sanaullah also said that Shah Ghulam Qadir is the president of the party; he will stay with him at all costs, and he will include him and Raja Farooq Haider in the team.
It should be remembered that Iftikhar Gilani of the Muslim League-N has been elected as the 17th Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir; he got 30 votes, while Sardar Mukhtar Khan of the PPP got 14 votes.
Iftikhar Gilani was first elected in 2011 and reached the Legislative Assembly of Azad Kashmir. Iftikhar Gilani has also been the Education Minister of Azad Kashmir.
