MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Iftikhar Gilani on Saturday visited the terminal of green electric buses provided by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and reviewed arrangements for the launch of the service.
During the visit, Senior Member Board of Revenue Sardar Muhammad Zafar and other relevant officials briefed the prime minister on the proposed launch of the green electric bus service, routes, and other arrangements.
The prime minister himself inspected the electric buses and reviewed facilities at the terminal, issuing necessary directives to the concerned officials.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Member of the Legislative Assembly Abdul Rehman Arain, Commissioner Muzaffarabad Badar Munir, Mayor Municipal Corporation Sikandar Nisar Gilani, Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Qureshi and other concerned officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Gilani thanked PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for fulfilling their commitment to provide green electric buses to Azad Kashmir even before the elections.
“The aim of the PML-N government is development and progress, welfare of the people and addressing their problems,” he added.
The prime minister assured the people of Azad Kashmir that the PML-N government would take all possible measures to address public grievances, improve living standards and overcome the sense of deprivation across the state.
He said the government would work to ensure that the people could see tangible improvements in their daily lives and experience the benefits of the newly formed PML-N government in Azad Kashmir.
