LAHORE (Kashmir English): Newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Iftikhar Gilani, has called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Monday.
Various issues, including the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, reform measures, and areas of mutual cooperation, were discussed in the meeting.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated Barrister Iftikhar Gilani on being elected as the Prime Minister of AJK and expressed his best wishes to him.
Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani expressed his confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and thanked them.
Gilani reiterated his commitment to fully implement the 100-day reform agenda for the development of Azad Kashmir.
He appreciated the various historic projects launched by Chief Minister Maryam in Punjab.
Gilani added that Punjab’s development projects are a beacon for the development of AJK. “I want to make Azad Kashmir an example of development under the guidance of Nawaz Sharif.
He further stated that special attention will be paid to effective reforms and public welfare projects for the development and progress of the region.
