MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has announced several initiatives for students including a full fee waiver for orphans in a great opportunity for all children to get quality education.

He made this announcement while addressing a ceremony to distribute medals among the students who topped the exams in Mirpur Education Board here on Tuesday.

Reward for shining students

The PM also announced cash rewards for top three position holders and a bonus salary for board employees. He said that due to government reforms, the Board, which was running in losses earlier, is now generating profit.

He further stated that it was a matter of concern for the declining standards of education and many graduates, who are considered the best-educated people, are not able to write an application in English, so there is a need for self-improvement in the education sector.

The PM also stated that in case errors were found in paper rechecking, the rechecking fee would not only be returned to the student, but eleven times the amount would also be paid as compensation, and this amount would be sent directly to the student.

Highlighting the necessity of educational reforms, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq directed the Board Chairman to constitute a committee of intellectuals who could provide recommendations to reform the system.

He further said that the competition is not over grades but over technology and that students must prepare themselves accordingly.

Students were inspired and given hope by the Prime Minister’s dedication to improving education, which was a first step towards significant reforms in the field.

Anywhere, growth and development are built on education. With a growing number of young people in AJK and across the nation, high-quality education is essential to improving even the few chances available, preventing unemployment, and preparing them for life in this technologically advanced, modern world.

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif recently inaugurated the district of Bhimber’s first Danish school.

A society with a high level of education produces several benefits, including innovation, social stability, and economic progress. However, obstacles like out-of-date curricula, a lack of funding, and restricted access to cutting-edge learning resources impede advancement.

By making educational investments, implementing reforms, and incorporating technology, AJK can give its students the tools they need to succeed in the global economy and contribute to the prosperity of the area.
